I found these to be a lot more fun, and wish that this was an alternative play option across all the prisons in the game. There are no real 'heroes' in the game, with players taking the role of a convicted felon trying to plan an escape from prison. I found these missions to be more accessible and all about the style of the escape – coaxing a horse with a carrot or repairing a jet ski to ride off into the sunset. Parents need to know that The Escapists 2 is a prison escape strategy game available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, as well as Windows, Linux, and Mac-based computers. Life in the prison is all about routine, and you will have to plan your escape whilst adhering to these tight schedules – with eating, exercise, roll call and work all chipping away at your valuable plotting time. The prisons that make up the game’s levels come in varying shapes, sizes and themes – ranging from Wild West and Space to a Prisoner of War camp – but they all follow a similar structure. However, it soon becomes apparent that “the basics” are certainly not enough. If you’re wanting to access specific areas, you’re going to need a key. It’s time to escape again, inmates Escape by yourself, or with up to three friends locally or online in The Escapists 2. Given that you’re a prison inmate in The Escapists 2, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that doors to important areas are typically locked.
